“ Awesome decor and vibe. Service is top-notch. Guacamole and chips app was good. Corn app, not so much. Pass. Lobster tails were delicious. Steaks were also good. Rice is flavored very uniquely, but good. Enchiladas were full of chicken and flavorful. Portions are good sized. ”
“ Quality of the food is excellent. And the service is outstanding. From the time you walk in until the time you leave the service is wonderful. Seasoning of the food is amazing. ”
“ Wonderful food, fantastic service. Great variety We would highly recommend this place to anyone. ”
“ Drove all the way here from Portland to meet an old friend that I hadn't seen in years. I loved that it was upscale but casual Mexican food in the middle of town. We had some ceviche as our appetizer, the Kurobuta Carnitas and the duck carnitas quesadilla. I was craving cheese and that duck quesadilla hit just right. This was a solid Mexican place in the middle of somewhere I didn't expect to have Mexican food at all. We sat on the front patio and people watched as we caught up on life. The staff were great, extremely patient and helpful. Parking is NOT fantastic. While this Boise definitely doesn't have the same parking issue as Los Angeles, I did have to circle the block to find a spot and park down the street. ”
“ Loved it! The Mojito was a slight twist from the original, very refreshing. The chilled avocado soup is ample and delicious, could easily serve as an entree. The chile relleno appetizer had some kick, and again, a generous portion. The Tres Leches presents well, but it included a off-putting ingredient (goats cheese?) Service was kind, albeit a little slow for a Monday. Great Boise alternative as every Basque restaurant was closed on a Monday night. ”
“ Coa de Jima is truly a gem! We came to celebrate a birthday brunch and upon walking in, we were struck by the moody yet inviting ambiance. I appreciate the unique and tasteful decor as this felt like more than a cookie-cutter restaurant. We were sat in a round booth at a large wooden table. Speaking from personal experience, I'd like to remind all to check the booth before leaving as it's easy to leave items behind because of how the booths are shaped as well as how dark it is in the restaurant! We ordered the chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, salmon omelette, and French toast. The chilaquiles, especially with the addition of carne asada, stood out as my favorite. The combination of crispy tortillas, rich sauce, and tender carne asada was simply perfection. Service was friendly and efficient. The employees shared the history of the restaurant. The restaurant is run by the family who started Barbacoa. The wife of the owner painted all the paintings including the painting leading to the bathroom. This is definitely an elevated dining experience in terms of environment and food quality... and price. I would highly recommend Coa de Jima for celebratory events. Our experience at Coa De Jima was fantastic, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The brunch was delightful, and we can't wait to return for happy hour or dinner to explore more of their menu! ”
“ The food was absolutely amazing. It was played well and everything was top notch quality. Amazing taste. Honestly, the only thing we ordered that I would not order again is the bone marrow. While it tasted good, as a 17$ add on, I don't think it was worth that. The whole wait staff was very attentive and very willing to help with any questions we had. One person at our table spilled a whole dipping cup of butter for the lobster all over the place and they were super fast to help clean it up! We were celebrating a birthday and when they brought out the desserts one had a sparkler thingy in it. Super cute. They boxed everything up for us nicely. ”
“ Fabulous!!!!! Great meal, service, and atmosphere. Everyone really cares, especially about the food. Octopus appetizer off the charts, fun cocktails, bone marrow tacos a true indulgence as was their take on tres leches. Oh my, what a treat. ”
